liquid. It is produced through various methods, including hydrogenation of maleic
anhydride. BDO is a precursor for materials like polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and
tetrahydrofuran (THF).
Uses:
Used in the manufacture of plastics, elastic fibers, and in the production of
solvents, resins, and as a plasticizer.
